Since the new research has emerged, we can now tell that fascia has a much greater impact on our health and well being than previously understood. Yet fascia has not received a lot of attention. Although the traditional medical world or the media haven’t picked up on it yet there seem to be movements in other areas, such as the fitness-world.
Because of movements, as we see in the fitness-world more people are getting increasingly interested and curious about what fascia is. This creates a snowball-effect which will spread the knowledge even more and eventually it becomes impossible to even for the established medical field to ignore the fact that fascia is here to stay. David Lesondak seems to believe that it is moving in the right direction.
– I think this is a step in the right direction since it’s sometimes the consumers who drive the change instead of the educators, especially in a capitalist country such as The United States, says Lesondak.
In conclusion: it can be difficult for a new discovery in medicine to be recognized, but if enough research is done and enough people get behind it, a change will take place eventually.
